Preparation is one of the key elements to making a good bed liner or coating. We train our dealers so they will have all the skills necessary to give you the best looking and most durable product available. In the above photo the truck has already been cleaned with acetone to remove any waxes or contamination that might be on the surface. The masking process begins. They will mask any area not to be coated, this will eliminate any possibility of over spray problems. The masking process also determines where the finished edges of the bed liner will be located. The cleaner the masking job the nicer the edges will be. So most guys take a little extra time to make sure everything lines up and is in its proper place.

Sanding Bed.jpg

Once they have masked off the area to be sprayed the sanding begins. They will sand the primary portions of the bed with a DA sander and by hand the critical areas like the edges where the masking has been applied. They do this to etch the surface to help with adhesion of the bed liner. The best adhesion to your truck bed will be a combination of the cleaning/preparation and sanding as well as the adhesion promoters contained within our product. When finished this process is completed they will pull the vehicle into the spray area. A plastic curtain is dropped down between the back of the cab and the front of the bed. While the above process is being performed, meanwhile in the background the machine is warming up for the next step of the process. The spraying of your bed liner.

They will do a final test spray to make sure the system is ready to spray. If everything looks good through the test, they start the spray process. Notice that the tailgate is missing from the truck. The tailgate is sitting on a stand behind the truck and is sprayed separately from the rest of the bed. Once the bed and tailgate have an adequate amount of coating on the surface they will begin to do the texturing process. The texture is applied by spraying above the bed surface and allowing the spray to land on the existing liner surface. When the spraying is complete remove all masking material and reassemble all parts that may have been removed during the prep and masking process. Now you have one of the most durable and best U.V. stable bed liners on the market today. Turbo Liner's texture gives you a factory like appearance. We hope you enjoy your Turbo Liner Bed Liner!!!!
